Welcome to a Weekend of Fun

Hi everybody. The most fun filled day of the week is here, the day that always gives you that fabulous feel good feeling and we wish for it every week. It’s Friday of course, which brings good things. Doing all those things that fill you with fun. Staying up late, having a nice meal, going to a gig or just simply switching off from the stress of the week and unwinding for a couple of days. At this time of the year, you might be looking forward to or planning for a holiday. The holiday season is in full swing, and in my case I’ve two weeks off beginning this afternoon. This weekend I’d love to hear about any holiday plans you might have? Or maybe you’re having a staycation like me and just looking forward to some quality time at home doing all those things you can’t do during the working week for two whole weeks? Bring it on. Whatever it is your up to this weekend, I’d love your company if you can make it. It all kicks off at the usual time of 7 PM in Ireland and the UK or 2 PM Eastern. For two solid hours, I will have a great selection of upbeat music blended with a fine helping of friendly banter for you to enjoy.

All your regular features will be here such as:
• Kick-Start. This opening track sets the pace for your weekend. We’ll begin with a track that was first released in 1983, that talks about a Holiday.
• Double-Take. At the bottom of the first hour, we play two tracks by the one artist along with a little bio on the artist in question. This weekend we hear two tracks from Nickelback.
• The Irish Connection. Exactly 1 hour later I play two tracks by two different Irish artists. This time we hear a track from a band who have been around since the early 90’s, who took a ten year break and are back with a new single, as well as a track from a Dublin band released in 1994.
• The One That Got Away. This feature is dedicated to a track that is not often heard on the Radio. This time we will hear a track from an album released in 1986, that wasn’t released on single, but was the fourth studio album for the band.

I always have plenty of room for your requests and banter, and I’d love to hear from you before or during the show if you’d like to get in touch. You can:
